Denver Event: A Taste of Colorado 2015

This past weekend ending Sunday September 7th, 2015, Denver celebrated its 32nd year of A Taste of Colorado. The event was originally named Festival of Mountain and Plain and served to harness support for new business development and as a citizen platform for gathering since post pioneer days. (A Taste of Colorado.com, 2015). Colorado is home to many new start-ups and unique product development so its no surprise that such activities are still cherished. This Colorado tradition serves, as a great way to yearly get to know more about all that is great in good food, new restaurants, entertainment and local arts. Tourists and locals alike enjoyed most spending quality time with friends and family while in a traffic free area that had great music, carnival rides, arts and crafts and of course great food. Denver Civic Center Park comes alive with people from all walks of life enjoying the last days of summer. There was plenty of sunshine to enjoy and live outdoor entertainment that included seven music stages providing popular music.

Organizers did a great job in providing activities for all age groups. Below is a photo of a guitarist playing songs in one of the stages for visiting children and parents. Some vendors had unique colorful bubble dispensing toys and also sunscreen for those taking some shelter from the brimming warm sun. Shaded areas under the Park trees provided relief and a place to enjoy sitting on the grass or benches to enjoy the food, view and people watching. Downtown Denver celebrates several important events during the year so check for new updates online.

Several marketplace vendors and about fifty restaurants joyfully participated the entire weekend. This also allows the sharing of new business ideas or concepts among the business community.
Local business owners also get an opportunity to share with the public their unique products and services while getting direct feedback from customers or future prospects. This four-day event is attended by some 500,000 people each year and growing.
